A Study on ¥â-glucuronidase activity of digestive system in female rats infected with Clonorchis sinensis metacercariae irradiated by electron beam


Abstract
A study was investigated on the ¥â-glucuronidase activity in several organs such as liver, intestine and stomach of rats infected with Clonorchis sinensis metaceracariae irradiated by electron beam.
Clonorchis sinensis metacercariae used in this examination were collected from Pseudorasbora parva caught at Gimhae by digestion techic.
The experimental rats used wee infected with 50 metaceracariae of Clonorchis sinensis by each group.
They were sacarificed in the period of 1st, 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th and 35th days after infected with metacercariae of Clonorchis sinensis for determination of ¥â-glucuronidase activity in the their organs.
@ES The results were obtained as follows.
@EN 1. ¥â-Glucuronidase activity in each organ of rats was more higher increased in the all most groups infected with Clonorchis metaceracariae irradiated by electron beam than nonirradiated groups.
2. In each organ of rats, ¥â-glucuronidase activity highly increased in the liver, intestine and stomach, respectively.
3. ¥â-Glucuronidase activity in each organ of rats according to infection period was generally increased in 7th -14th days after infection in rats with Clonorchis sinensis metacercariae irradiated by electron beam.
4. In each organ of rats by electron beam dose, ¥â-glucuronidase activity was highly increased from beginning in 100 and group than nonirradiated groups, but it was increased again in 500-1,500 rad groups.
5. ¥â-Glucuronidase activity in the liver of the rats infected with Clonorchis sinensis metacercariae irradiated by electron beam was generally increased since the 1st day of infection in comparision with normal groups. It was increased the
highest in
the 7th days with 8.980mU/g of the 100rad irrdiated groups.
6. ¥â-Glucuronidase activity in the intestine of the rats infected with Clonorchis sinensis metacercariae irradiated by electron bean was increased the highest in the 1st day with 3.220mU/g of the 500rad irradiated groups, since then decreased
gradually from from day to day.
7. ¥â-Glucuronidase activity in the stomach of the rats infected with Clonorchis sinensis metacercariae irradiated by electron beam was increased the highest in the 7th days with 0.953mU/g ofthe 2,000 rad irradiated group, thereafter it was
continuously decreased until 35th days.
